DJ's Trife Life

this guy from Richmond VA came through and lurked my couch some time ago and then put out a video of his travels. Memphis has a section about Trife Street, scope it. The memphis section starts at 11 minutes and 33 seconds. The very beginning of the video is pretty heinous but give it a chance, because the Nashville section that is right after DJ's curious intro is way sick! So make sure to watch this one, its pretty good.

So I know we were going to have a Go Skateboarding Day event at Altown, but unfortunately as soon as we showed up, an employee for the owner of the property (who has repeatedly given us permission) told us we had to leave and the police were on the way. I was actually at home but then I got a phone call saying "get up here now!" The cops were there and not just regular cops, undercover lieutenants. We were not only told that we would no longer be able to use the property, we were also blamed for the graffiti that we have constantly tried to remove! So Go Skateboarding Day at Altown had to be cancelled. Now Memphis is left again, with nothing. That just means its time to find a new spot to build, its in our blood. WE WON'T STOP! Basically Fuck The Police!

GO SKATE DAY!

Everyone knows that Monday June 21st is National Go Skateboarding Day! If you live anywhere near the Memphis area come out to AlTown and sesh tough. Its gunna be hot outside so bring something to drink. If you don't live in Memphis or anywhere near, make sure your out getting wild in the streets in your hometown. Skateboarding is pretty much it, so get outside and represent whats really sick. Go Skate, it is your ticket to greatness!

Cracks Kill

Altown is full of em so we got together to patch some up. Word for the wise, if you ever wanna use crete to patch cracks, don't be stupid like myself and use quickcrete, use portland cement. The quickcrete works ok for cracks but fixin the bottom of banks and stuff is a no go, its better used for building structres. Heres a few photos of mostly lurkfest while it was supposed to be workfest snapped by Coleslaw Tyler Nelson.
